Zinc Content Fulfils the Requirements of ISO Standard 12944-5
Temazinc 77 contains over 80% zinc and fully meets the requirements of the standard ISO 12944-5 for zinc-rich primers. The primer provides good cathodic protection for steel.

For Paint Systems in Severe Climatic Stress
Temazinc 77 is used in coating systems where extended durability is required. The primer is widely used in painting systems for bridges, cranes and steel framework, and also for steelwork and equipment in the process industry.

Mechanism by which Zinc-rich Primer Temazinc Protects Steel
The zinc-rich epoxy paint fill any scratches or damage points in the paint layer, preventing direct contact between electrolyte and steel, which would otherwise result in corrosion.
This reaction continues as long as there is enough zinc in the primer. Must be applied to a fully blasted surface ISO Sa2.5 Minimum standard.
